Training at a glance
This is not your typical doula program! Your profession as a doula is intentional. It is sacred. It is life changing.
During your time in my class, you will be challenged to look deeper into issues that many families face in our country. Some are issues which are often ignored in our communities, especially marginalized families and families of color. This is a time for you to reflect and unlearn some of the biases that you may have learned around perinatal health.
While some of the topics that we cover may be difficult to learn about, it is important for your role in supporting families from preconception to postpartum.
My programs take a different approach in not only finding ways to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates, but creating a profession that is rewarding, fulfilling, and sustainable.
