I'm truly honored to have had the opportunity to take this course. -
Not only was it thoughtfully curated, but rooted in loving others whole-heartedly, teaching empathy and grace organically, and unlearning biases that I never thought I truly had, but most importantly, learning to HEAL self-first, and assisting others through the same journey as a doula.

This guided course, and lovely book was truly a beautiful piece of Art; pleasant to cruise through the text, and chapters, while deeply, and creatively nourishing my soul. I 1000 percent recommend this book to ANYONE I know... I know this book is catered to birth workers, however there's just so much to be learned from within the text that anyone, and everyone can truly grasp the sincerity and intention, and care Yenny put into this piece. I can honestly see myself rereading this book every other year to see if my thought process changes. or to simply measure my growth along my journey. I've already shared some text, and prompts with my clients, some close friends, and family, and I can say it was very engaging, and helped spark interesting conversations, and healthy debates.

This course was a powerful and necessary experience.
As a full-spectrum doula deeply committed to trauma-informed care, I found this course to be both validating and eye-opening. I didn't just present information, it held space. Each layer of trauma was approached with care, cultural awareness, and practical application, which is essential for anyone supporting birthing people with complex histories.
I appreciate how the content emphasized not only trauma response but also nervous system regulation, ancestral healing, and advocacy through a lens of disability justice. It affirmed what I've lived and given me language for with I intuitively hold in my birth work. This was alignment.
Thank you, for creating something this sacred and rooted.

Dear Yenny,

I just completed your trauma and disability course, and I’m sitting in tears — overwhelmed with gratitude. Every part of it was created with such thoughtfulness, care, and deep understanding. As a Black woman who has experienced birth trauma, profound loss, and medical harm, I felt truly seen and held throughout this course.

Your work affirmed so much of my personal journey and has equipped me to show up with even more compassion, awareness, and power as a doula — especially for our disabled, LGBTQIA+ communities, survivors of incarceration and trafficking, immigrants, and those who have been silenced for too long.

And the book — what a gift. It is so beautiful, so rich, so sacred. I didn’t even want to write in it at first because it felt like a piece of art. But having the journal helped me process and ground everything I was feeling. I will cherish it forever.

Everything flowed in such a meaningful way, and I will absolutely be recommending your course to every doula I meet. Thank you for this offering. Thank you for your vision. Thank you for making space for us to learn, unlearn, and heal.

With deep appreciation and love,
Kimeisha Harmon
