TARRANT COUNTY
Community Doula Training
Tarrant county community doula training
The community doula training is part of an initiative by United Way of Tarrant County and Trust Her to improve birth outcomes in Tarrant County.
Trust Her exists as the programatic arm of Child Poverty Action Lab(CPAL) ‘s reproductive and maternal health strategy. Through the community-based doula initiative, our goal is to reduce the disparities in maternal mortality and improve maternal health outcomes in Tarrant County.
Community-based doulas have been essential in supporting families from their community and building trust so that families feel safe. By offering a comprehensive doula training to individuals from the community, we are equipping aspiring doulas with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide culturally competent care and trauma-informed care. Our Certified Perinatal Coach™ training will prepare doulas to support families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
